Zimbabwe and Ethiopia have signed agreements with Russia to cooperate on the peaceful use of nuclear technology. The intergovernmental agreement between Russia and Zimbabwe establishes a legal framework for cooperation in various areas, including the creation and improvement of Zimbabwe's nuclear infrastructure, nuclear and radiation safety, production of radioisotopes, and the use of radiation technologies and nuclear medicine. Similarly, Russia and Ethiopia signed a roadmap for bilateral cooperation in the use of atomic energy, which includes exploring the possibilities of building a nuclear power plant and a Nuclear Science and Technology Center in Ethiopia. In addition, Russia and Burundi have signed a memorandum of cooperation on the peaceful use of nuclear technology. These agreements demonstrate Russia's efforts to expand its nuclear technology partnerships in Africa.
