Ostro Minerals, a company headed by Maurice Samuel Ostro, has expressed interest in the products of Kazakhstan's Institute of Nuclear Physics. During a meeting with the country's Energy Minister, the company expressed interest in the industrial and medical radioactive isotopes produced by the institute. The Institute of Nuclear Physics is responsible for 90 percent of all radiopharmaceuticals produced in Kazakhstan, which are supplied to medical institutions across the country. The Ministry of Energy has previously held negotiations to attract investment in the institute and expand its range of isotopes, with successful product deliveries already made to Germany in 2022.
