A conference focused on nuclear and radiation safety was organized by France and attended by representatives from 70 countries and international organizations, including Ukraine's Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko. Ukrainian officials stressed the urgent need to address nuclear safety issues following Russia's militarization of nuclear facilities, particularly the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. They called for international cooperation to ensure the protection of Ukraine's nuclear infrastructure and for Russia to halt its attacks on energy sectors. French Minister Jean-Noël Barrot underlined the necessity for coordinated international action to safeguard nuclear security amid the ongoing conflict. The conference is part of a series leading to a second Peace Summit.
