Oregon Tech Nuclear Medicine students travel to Indonesia for global health project - Oregon Institute of Technology

Oregon Tech’s Nuclear Medicine program sent three students to Indonesia in August to enhance healthcare education through a partnership with RAD-AID International. Professor Rick Hoylman led the trip, which focused on the differences in healthcare and nuclear medicine between Indonesia and the U.S. The students engaged actively, delivering presentations on nuclear medicine and participating in hands-on activities, significantly enriching their learning experience. This initiative highlighted the need for educational programs in nuclear medicine in Indonesia. The project was backed by a Faculty Creativity Grant from Oregon Tech, and the students plan to share their experiences with the community and at future conferences.
