NorthStar Medical Radioisotopes has signed a supply agreement with Bayer for the therapeutic radioisotope actinium-225 (Ac-225). NorthStar will provide Bayer with its non-carrier added (n.c.a.) Ac-225, which will be used in several of Bayer's radiopharmaceutical programs. Ac-225 is a high energy alpha-emitting radioisotope that is being studied for its potential use in cancer treatment. NorthStar aims to be the first commercial-scale producer of n.c.a. Ac-225 and plans to submit a Drug Master File to the FDA in the near future.
