Ministries jointly prepare measures for radiological and nuclear ... - Pattaya Mail

The Thai health ministry and the higher education ministry have joined forces to prepare for medical responses to radiological and nuclear emergencies. This comes after a cylinder of radioactive cesium-137 went missing earlier this year, prompting the need for improved emergency preparedness. The two ministries will establish emergency response centers, develop information systems, and provide training for personnel. In addition, the higher education ministry has provided 15 radiation survey meters to the health ministry to enhance readiness for radiological and nuclear emergencies.
