Monash University, a leading research institution in Australia, has received a funding boost of over $14.8 million from the Victorian Higher Education State Investment Fund (VHESIF), with $5.2 million of the funding allocated to the university. The funding will be used to install specialist imaging equipment, including a cyclotron, which will enable the development of improved diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine imaging techniques. The facility will support research into a wide range of diseases and illnesses, including cancer, kidney disease, and neurodegenerative diseases. Monash University has received a total of $82 million through VHESIF for various research projects.
