Kuwait issues radiation warning for citizens as fears mount over Iran’s Bushehr plant - Türkiye Today

Kuwaiti authorities have issued warnings to residents about potential radiation exposure due to ongoing attacks on Iran's Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant. In a video address, officials advised precautions such as staying indoors, keeping doors and windows shut, and noted that the closest reactor is over 240 kilometers away, which should limit any potential impact. The alerts follow recent U.S.-Israeli strikes near the facility, including one confirmed by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) which reported that a projectile hit the site without causing damage or injuries. The IAEA cautioned that even near-misses pose risks and called for restraint. Meanwhile, Russia's state nuclear agency Rosatom indicated a deteriorating situation at the plant, announcing preparations for a third phase of personnel evacuation, reducing the number of experts present until conditions improve.
