Khalifa University launches UAE’s first MSc Programme in Medical Physics supported by FANR - ZAWYA

ABU DHABI - Khalifa University of Science and Technology and the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) have announced the launch of the UAE's first Master of Science Programme in Medical Physics. The program aims to train medical physicists to contribute to the radiation protection infrastructure in the country and strengthen their competencies and skills. The program is aligned with the UAE National Strategy for Education, Training, and Qualification in Radiation Protection. The first cohort of students has already completed their first year, conducting experiments at Tawam Hospital and FANR's Secondary Standards Dosimetry Laboratory. The program is designed to meet international standards and accreditation guidelines. FANR and Khalifa University are also initiating discussions with national hospitals to implement a medical physics clinical residency program.
