Indonesia’s Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Wahyu Sakti Trenggono, announced the successful second shipment of shrimp products at Tanjung Priok Port, signifying restored trust in the U.S. market as Indonesian shrimp now meet international radiation safety standards. This certification, confirming the absence of Cesium-137, resulted from collaboration among several regulatory bodies. The agency responsible for quality assurance has been recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for certifying fishery products since October 31. Previously, Indonesia exported 121 containers of shrimp in October after scanning 920 containers bound for the U.S.
