Hologic to acquire rival breast care company for $310M—plus 2 more radiology vendor M&A deals - Radiology Business

Mammography system maker Hologic Inc. has announced its acquisition of breast care company Endomag for $310 million. Endomag is a developer of breast surgery localization and lymphatic tracing technologies and generated $35 million in revenue last year. Hologic believes that the acquisition will complement its existing breast surgery portfolio and provide surgeons and radiologists with more options for breast cancer procedures. The transaction is still subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approval. In another M&A deal in the radiology vendor space, West Physics Consulting is acquiring the medical physics service division of Tricord Inc. West Physics, based in Atlanta, provides radiation safety consulting services and medical physics testing for the healthcare industry. Tricord, based in Paducah, Kentucky, is a provider of health, medical, industrial, and environmental physics services. The acquisition will allow West Physics to expand its client base and enhance its diagnostic physics testing services in several states. Additionally, Los Angeles revenue cycle management company GeBBS Healthcare Solutions is acquiring CCD Health, a firm that uses AI to assist radiology groups with appointment scheduling. The partnership aims to create a national leader in tech-enabled patient access and revenue cycle services. CCD Health, based in the Dominican Republic, operates a call center focused on improving the patient experience at radiology groups. The deal will expand GeBBS' market, services, capabilities, and geographic footprint.
