HCTC to launch Kentucky’s only nuclear medicine program - WYMT

Hazard Community and Technical College (HCTC) is set to launch Kentucky's only nuclear medicine imaging program in response to workforce demands in the healthcare sector. The program aims to address a shortage of qualified professionals as retirements in the field create numerous vacancies. It will provide students with training in human anatomy, nuclear physics, and patient care, along with hands-on clinical experience. HCTC's president, Dr. Jennifer Lindon, emphasized the program's importance in meeting regional healthcare needs and boosting job opportunities for graduates. Applications are due by May 1, with classes starting in Fall 2025.
