A delegation from France and Ukraine recently visited the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone to discuss nuclear safety and radioactive waste management. The Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Energy, Mykola Kolisnyk, highlighted the importance of cooperation between Ukraine and France, especially in response to ongoing threats from Russian military actions. Discussions also covered joint projects related to handling damaged nuclear materials and enhancing the security of radioactive waste facilities. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Energy addressed concerns about smoke near the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, attributing it to a safe distance forest fire.
