FANR strengthens cooperation with Saudi Nuclear & Radiological Regulatory Commission - ZAWYA

The Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR) of the UAE has concluded a two-day visit to the Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission (NRRC) of Saudi Arabia. The visit marks an important development in the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the field of nuclear energy. During the visit, the NRRC presented its progress in developing Saudi Arabia's radiation protection infrastructure. The FANR delegation was briefed on the Kingdom's Emergency Preparedness and Response efforts and visited various facilities related to nuclear energy development. Both parties agreed to a comprehensive cooperation program covering knowledge exchange, regulatory development, licensing, inspection, capacity building, emergency preparedness and response, research and development, and more. This cooperation further strengthens the transparent and safe utilization of nuclear technologies for peaceful purposes and demonstrates FANR's commitment to international cooperation.
