The Malaysian Nuclear Agency (Nuklear Malaysia) has emphasized the importance of leadership in radiation safety management to ensure compliance with the Atomic Energy Licensing Act 1984 (Act 304). To address this, the agency hosted an Awareness Seminar on Radiation Safety for those responsible for licenses (OBTL). Director-general Dr. Rosli Darmawan highlighted the critical role of OBTL in maintaining compliance with the stringent standards of Act 304, which regulates atomic energy use and radioactive materials in the country. The seminar aimed to share knowledge on radiation safety management, foster a safe working environment, and improve practices across various sectors utilizing ionising radiation technology. Rosli underscored the need for strong leadership, cooperation, and a robust safety culture to enhance radiation safety in Malaysia.
