Curium reportedly closing in on deal to buy radiopharma rival Lantheus for $7B - Radiology Business

Curium is in advanced talks to acquire rival radiopharmaceutical developer Lantheus for approximately $7 billion, as reported by Bloomberg. Curium, supported by private equity firm CapVest Partners, is expected to offer $102 per share plus an additional $12.50 in "contingent value rights," potentially valuing Lantheus at up to $8 billion. While a final agreement has not been reached, an announcement may come soon. Lantheus, which has faced recent business challenges, including legal issues and FDA review delays, saw a 2% drop in its stock following the news. Additionally, Curium has reintroduced its cardiac nuclear imaging radiotracer chloride TI 201 to the U.S. market after production ceased in 2022 due to supply issues.
