Curium acquires Abscint SA, expanding PET radiodiagnostic pipeline in oncology - The Manila Times

Curium has acquired global rights to ABS-011, a gallium-68-labeled PET radiodiagnostic tracer aimed at detecting HER2 expression in cancers like breast and gastric cancer. This tracer enables comprehensive imaging of HER2 status, potentially enhancing patient diagnosis and treatment decisions. ABS-011, currently in a Phase 2b clinical trial in Belgium, utilizes a single-domain antibody for rapid binding to HER2, which may allow better targeting for biopsies than traditional methods. Curium's CEO highlighted the acquisition as a key addition to their oncology pipeline aimed at advancing cancer diagnostics. The development of ABS-011 will continue under Curium's expertise in radiopharmaceuticals, with backing from Abscint, the original developer of the tracer.
