Claritas NucMed Technologies has successfully met regulatory requirements to establish its subsidiary, Claritas NucMed Tech Brazil, aimed at promoting its nuclear medicine software solutions in Brazil. The software products are specialized for accelerated isotope scans and automated lesion detection, addressing critical challenges in the Brazilian nuclear medicine sector such as high costs and access issues. The subsidiary will collaborate with medical institutions to implement positron emission tomography (PET) and single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) software. The registration process for these products is currently underway with Brazil's medical device regulator, ANVISA. Dr. Fernando Salis, managing director of Claritas NucMed Tech Brazil, highlighted the significant increase in PET-CT scans in Brazil, indicating a pressing demand for efficient solutions to improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes.
