The award was presented at the Nuclear Energy Institute’s Nuclear Energy Assembly in Philadelphia. This innovative three-dimensional printed tungsten shielding improves radiation protection in difficult-to-access areas, allowing for rapid development and application within 48 hours. Bruce Power’s President and CEO Eric Chassard emphasized the importance of safety in their operations, while Chief Nuclear Officer Chris Mudrick noted the potential for this technology to be replicated throughout the nuclear industry.
