Apple has introduced the Studio Display XDR, which is particularly suited for the medical field due to its support for DICOM medical imaging presets and a Medical Imaging Calibrator. This enables radiologists to use the display for diagnostic imaging without requiring specialized monitors. The Studio Display XDR features advanced specifications, including a mini-LED backlight, high brightness, a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Priced at $3,299, it is more affordable than many medical imaging displays. The Medical Imaging Calibrator is pending FDA clearance and will soon be available in the U.S. Pre-orders start on March 4, with the official launch on March 11.
