IAEA experts are in Moldova to install eight Integrated Radiation Monitoring and Information Systems (IRMIS) stations. These stations will gather real-time information on radiation levels in the country and share the data with national authorities and the IAEA's IRMIS network. The IAEA and Moldova's collaboration showcases the importance of international cooperation in ensuring the safe and peaceful use of nuclear energy. Moldova's entry to the IRMIS network strengthens the global nuclear safety network, and the IAEA stands ready to support other countries in joining the network. The IRMIS stations are state-of-the-art monitoring systems that provide comprehensive and real-time data on radiation levels. Moldova recognizes the benefits of the loaned IRMIS stations in enhancing the safety of its citizens and environment. With Moldova's participation, the IRMIS network now consists of 49 countries.
